Firewalls and shared scanning 

If you are running a firewall and want to allow users to scan using e‑STUDIO MFPs connected to other Linux PCs you must configured the firewalls as follows:

Linux Server PC

Where the e‑STUDIO MFP is connected, allow:

  • Inbound broadcasts from local network on port 3023.
  • Inbound UDP connections to port 3023.
  • Inbound TCP connections to port 3022.

Linux Client PC

Where you wish to scan using an e‑STUDIO MFP connected to another PC, allow:

  • Inbound UDP connections to port 3022.
