My eStudion207 stops working intermittently with the following message. The printer in connected to a SUSE10.2 box via USB and CUPS 1.2.7.

Any help appreciated.

(Thanks to who ever wrote this driver)

Dear Mr. Menhinick

Thank you for getting in touch regarding your eStuido207, we do not officially support SUSE 10.2 but we will do our best to help you.

We have not had to problem here so we need to find out what is happening on your system to cause it. To do this we would like you to enable driver logging and once the problem has re-occurred send us the log files.

1. As root on your system you need to edit the following file in a text editor:

/etc/wilc2.dev

2. Please uncomment the line that begins "Log=..." by removing the ; from the start of the line.
3. Save the file.
4. While still in root mode you need to restart the driver for the logging to take effect.
In a terminal type "killall wilc2" and hit enter to stop the driver, then "wilc2" and hit enter to restart the driver.

Now your driver is restarted with logging enabled, print as normal until the error occurs and then send us the contents of the /var/log/wilc2 folder. If there are lots of files only the most recent 10 or so will be needed.

Our forum does not accept files so please could you zip then up and provide us with a link where we can download them from you we would be grateful. If this is not convenient for you please let us know and we will provide you with an alternative method for getting the logs to us.

Thank you
